Supporting rural progress with the Red Cross in Zimbabwe

ATS is proud to have partnered with the Zambia Red Cross Society in the rehabilitation of the livestock dip tank in the Mugoto community — a critical facility that had fallen into disrepair, placing local herds at risk of preventable and treatable diseases.

The Red Cross Society is leading meaningful efforts to restore rural infrastructure that supports livelihoods. As part of this initiative, ATS contributed skilled labour and supplied essential building materials, including pit sand, river sand, and chippings.

To assist community members volunteering their time on the project, ATS also provided staple food items such as mealie meal, chicken, and cooking oil.

The restored dip tank will help livestock owners better protect their animals, which are vital to both income and food security in the region. This intervention is a strong example of how collaborative efforts can deliver sustainable, long-term benefits for remote communities.

ATS remains committed to supporting development initiatives that leave a lasting, positive impact where it matters most.
