ATS has an active Health and Safety Department which is responsible for maintaining standards of health and safety in our workplace.

Our dedicated health and safety team is well trained and stays abreast of the latest developments in the industry. ATS Health and Safety Officers receive continuous training in IRCA accredited courses for food safety and occupational safety management.

HACCP Certification | Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points

ATS is the first industrial catering company in East, Central and West Africa to be certified by an accredited body for the implementation of a HACCP food safety system. HACCP is a science-based system for identifying hazards in the food chain; evaluating; controlling; and monitoring critical control points to ensure food safety.

The internationally recognized HACCP allows for remedial action to be taken prior to serious action. It is more cost effective and takes into consideration all predicted hazards and risks that can be identified and removed, thereby reducing product loss.

ISO 22000:2005 Certification

ATS in Lumwana, Zambia has been certified as meeting the international ISO 22000:2005 food safety management system requirements. The certification process was carried out by SGS - UK and our certificate is valid from March 2007. ATS Group is the first catering company in Africa to achieve this high standard of food safety management certification.

We continue to improve the health and safety standards of our operations to ensure they meet the highest possible standards. Health and safety management forms a critical part of our operational process and we will strive to ensure that you receive the best service and product in the industry.
