Social Responsibility

Over the past ten years ATS has developed plans for hiring local workers and using local suppliers in many countries. We prefer to utilize local traders and suppliers that meet our audit demands, or can be trained to meet our demands. Our priority is to develop locally based suppliers near each project for fruit, vegetables and as many meal ingredients as possible.

We work with local communities, providing quality produce and training the workforce to the benefit of the project. We recognize our role not only as a business enterprise but also as a member of the local and international community.

We contribute to the communities we work within and strive to be the best provider of catering and hospitality services in Africa.

Environmental Responsibility

We consistently adhere to policies and responsible operating practices which promote the conservation and enhancement of the natural and social environments in which the company operates.

The environment represents a strategic resource for both current and future generations and we aim to minimize the impact that the companies operations have on the environment.

As part of our environmental management program, we:

• Comply with your applicable policies and regulations and maintain cooperative working relationships with the relevant employees of your company.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the country of operation.
• Prevent pollution and apply industry best-practices for environmental management.
• Maintain a clearly defined environmental management system that covers the relevant aspects of your operations; and integrate this into your day-to-day operations.
• Train employees at all levels of the operation to perform their job functions in compliance with sound environmental practices and procedures.
• Provide managers and supervisors with the necessary resources and authority to carry out the environmental process.
• Maintain effective environmental monitoring systems; act promptly to address any identified non-compliance; and take steps to prevent any reoccurrence.
• Complete periodic reviews with you to monitor environmental performance and improve the effectiveness of the program.
• Minimize waste generation and maximize efficiency of resources.
